Food Security
Promoting Access to Nutritious Food for All
At EJSD, we recognize food as a fundamental human right. Yet, millions of Nigerians—particularly in rural and climate-vulnerable communities—continue to face hunger and malnutrition. Our work aims to address this by promoting food and nutritional security, with a focus on the most at-risk populations.
We support smallholder farmers and vulnerable households with practical interventions such as community-based food production, post-harvest storage solutions, and nutrition-sensitive agriculture. Our programs help communities improve food availability, access, and utilization—ensuring that families can maintain a stable food supply throughout the year.
Through advocacy and policy engagement, we also push for increased public investment in food systems that prioritize equity and resilience. Our work aligns with national and global commitments to Zero Hunger (SDG 2) and is rooted in the belief that sustainable food systems are key to long-term development.
By addressing both immediate and structural drivers of food insecurity, we contribute to a future where no one is left behind.
