Economic Inclusion and Empowerment
Advancing Inclusive Participation in Agricultural Development
Development is not sustainable unless it is inclusive. At EJSD, we work to ensure that women, youth, and persons with disabilities are fully included in Nigeria’s agricultural transformation. These groups face persistent barriers to land, finance, training, and decision-making, but they are also vital drivers of innovation and resilience.
We design and implement programs that expand access to resources and opportunities for marginalized populations. This includes capacity building, leadership development, and support for enterprise creation in agriculture and agri-business. Our interventions are tailored to address the unique needs and aspirations of each group, with a strong focus on accessibility and gender equity.
In addition, we engage in policy advocacy to promote inclusive legislation and budgeting processes that recognize the contributions of underrepresented voices. We work with national and local actors to ensure that inclusion is mainstreamed across development planning.
By empowering individuals who have historically been excluded, we help create a more just, productive, and equitable agricultural sector.
